"Hattie"New Pics of Red

Medicine Hat Filly, born 4/7/03 out of Mesa, our black Quarter Horse "Bar Mesa", Mare.  This is our 2nd Medicine Hat from Jake and Mesa. It's rare to get one Medicine Hat in a lifetime, but to have two...we truly feel blessed.

This filly is gorgeous and she is going to be big. A good halter, performance, working cow or trail prospect. Born 39" at the hip and stocky!  Her left eye is blue in the bottom quarter, it's very striking!

Jan 2005 - 1st Saddle

A bit muddy from all our recent rains but it was time for Hattie to learn what a saddle is.  As you can see she had no problem at all.  She had never seen a saddle before let alone had anyone sitting on her back. She is incredible!

Above, good friend Col. John Mayer just home from Iraq. John has been learning about horses from Ed in between the time with the Marines and his family. John has missed horses for the last 8 months so he gave Ed a hand and was the first to sit a saddle on Hattie.  You can see by her cocked back leg she was very comfortable and not worried at all.
