4 Months old

Sierra is very big for her age, we expect that she will be 15.2 - 15.3 hands when she matures.  She is very well muscled and stout for a weanling.

She's shed out to a dark chestnut/liver chestnut. The underside of her tail is flaxen, it will be beautiful when it's grown out.

Sierra loves to be scratched and loved on by people.  She also wiggles her nose in your hand (it's really very cute).  She is very comfortable with herself and shows no indication of being timid.

She took her time coming into this world, but when she did she was ready.  Her due date was April 15th and she was born almost a month later.  It took her only about 15-20 minutes to decide to stand and when she did it was on her first try and it only took seconds for her to get on her feet You can see her stand for the 1st time by viewing the video at the bottom of this page.

Watch out world, here she comes!

Saddle work started

She is almost 3 weeks old in these pictures.

The two pictures below and the video is her first day.  You can see her coat has turned redder in less than 3 weeks but she still has the the white on her belly and the underside of her tail.

Being born is a lot of hard work and a girl needs to get her rest.

Her sorrel coat is on the brown side, a very interesting, pretty color.  The underside of her tail is very white, it should be very striking when it is all grown out.  Sierra has turned a very dark red Sorrel.

It only took her 14 seconds to stand!!
